Hi, I'm Ursula,
I'm the heart and soul behind STUDIO SOFTBOX. Photography isn't just my profession – it's my passion, and I absolutely love capturing the special moments in people's lives.
After nearly 30 years behind the lens, I still get excited about every shoot.
Home for me is the breathtaking Isle of Arran, where I wake up each day inspired by the stunning landscapes around me.
Whether I'm catching the first light of dawn on the beach or snapping candid shots of my faithful Collie, Billy-Beau, there's always something magical to capture.
My journey started at Nottingham Trent University, where I earned my photography degree in 1997. Like many photographers, I cut my teeth shooting portraits and weddings for friends and family.
Those early experiences helped me build my portfolio and gave me the confidence to launch my own business in 2000. I'm proud to say it went on to win several awards, but what means more to me is the joy I've brought to my clients.
In March 2021, I took a leap of faith and moved to Arran with my wonderful family – my partner Jim (an amazing videographer), and our lovely children, Sonny and Poppy.
Sure, there were some bumps along the way, but I've never been happier. Getting to call this magical place both my office and my home is truly a dream come true.
